You mean mail to the local office though, correct? I have given the 40-B pdf or the link to lots of clients.

The rep also was not really familiar with the General Enrollment Period timing, told me I was confusing that with OEP for Medicare advantage, so I am mostly relying on the payment advice but info lacking about applying late for Part B.

Applying for part B is simple. Just fill out the form and send it in. I've attached a copy.

Up until this year, part B benefits would not start until July 1, regardless of your sign up date.
They changed it this year. Benefits start the 1st of the month after sign up.

We have the fax numbers to our local SSA offices, and either give that to clients during GEP (Jan 1-Mar 31 annually) or we fax for them from our office.

One time when I did that, the same dumb ass answered the phone. I told her what I did and was trying to get on the phone with someone who had a clue.
