As a former Beemer sales rep you're spot on. I had to write up all the applications which obviously stated income. It was insane - people making 45K a year buying a 40K Beemer.

However, so long as their score was over 650 the loan was auto-approved and I'd watch people drive off with $800/mo payments.

Anyone with a car payment equal to their gross weekly paycheck is an ***.
 
So I guess you don't want to hear about the parents whose gross household income was 60K buying their 16 year old a new Beemer for their birthday.

Oh, I'll listen to the story. But they are beyond moronic. Some people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.
 
If you want to sell a Mercedes you don't need to find someone with a lot of money, just someone who wants others to think they do.

I know a woman who is working three jobs one of which is delivering pizzas who is going to buy her son soon to be 16 a 2004 Chrsyler 300C. She is a nice lady but that is not smart.
