Since we can only download 25 records at time, how can I prevent from downloading the same numbers already downloaded. Is there a way to exclude numbers that were already downloaded?

Never used them. How about you call customer tech support at Ref USA and ask them it should be a simple process.

Remember a little while ago when on the same subject you said "free is the best price"; that's the problem we have here.

I borrowed my wife's library card and poked around with it to see how it worked and it doesn't look like there is any way to do that, most likely because that's the way they want it. It's built in with those restrictions so that businesses and folks marketing will find it more cost effective to purchase the list then try to scrape off the database.

I was told you could go to the local library and use it and get 1000 names for free at a time.

I haven't seen the 1,000, but I've heard the 100. I downloaded 50 the other day to see how it worked and it looks like it'd be decent for someone doing a small amount of calls that had the time to pull through the system; certainly better than the phone book.

I haven't ever tried this, how much time does this process take to pull, lets say, 1000 names if someone was to do this every day until they got 1,000?

Ray, you might want to use a library card and give it a try. It's a pretty interesting process, but I think it would take forever to get up to 1,000 records. On the consumer records it's even worse because it's not scrubbed so they have to pull the records, then get their SAN, then scrub the file. I guess that helps build perspective on the value in what we do :)

You may not be able to export more than 50 at a time. But you can also copy and paste it, or use the print screen button to copy it into something else.

There is always a way around something.

Its really not that hard to build a decent list using Reference USA. The biggest problem is that a lot of the data is just plain wrong. At least when it comes to businesses.
