And you didn't keep the library card?

I did and it worked for another year. Apparently they lock you out of online databases after a year and make you reapply with proof of residency. Soooo....only get 25 at a time now:no:

And... you didn't bother to call them up and update your resident address?

I did when I moved away from the library that allowed UNLIMITED downloads. I'll have to call every year, and just explain that I use the card ONLY for the purpose of the data research.

It wasn't hard and they were very helpful.

Infofree.com is better. Why people purchase lists on a per 1000 basis is a mystery to me.

A few things, not the least of which is not all data is created equal. Not that infofree isn't a good solution for some folks, but a lot of people like to buy more accurate data, be able to target their lists more specifically, and not have to deal with pulling their own list.

For $99 datadepot.biz will sell 100,000 records, a million for $199. It takes time and money to keep a list updated and accurate. It's easy to get a lot of cheap data cheap, but companies spend millions and millions of dollars maintaining highly accurate data sets. The notion that for $XX/month a company is going to provide unrestricted access to highly accurate marketing lists speaks for itself. Again, not that it isn't a good solution for some folks, but a great deal of marketers would rather work with a company that charges on a per 1,000 basis and provides highly accurate and updated files instead of spend their time working with limitations on their filters and data that is less accurate than it's more expensive counterparts.

their data has been very accurate for me. in fact, more so than the company we were using prior. don't need 100,000 records, nor 1 million. don't try and confuse everyone.
