Typical Premiums and Commissions For Final Expense

Re: Final Expense

I have replaced more Primerica policies than usual lately. Not one of them understood what TERM insurance means. They thought all insurance works like whole-life.

Typical commissions are going to vary depending on whether or not you get support, training and/or leads.

If you need none of that, you should get 110to 120% contracts. If you need that, you will get 70 to 100% contracts depending on how much support you need and , of course, production.

As for typical monthly premium, I don't know if there is a typical. There is an average and at EFES, the average is $40/mo. That's the average of several hundred FE agents.

I just went and looked at mine. It's a little higher than I expected. Year to date I have an average of $62/mo. premium on 236 apps. submitted.

The number one agent with EFES, {and the number one FE agent in the world}, averages over $100/mo. premium and has for over two years. I really don't know how he does it.

Over time, you should expect to average $40 to $50/mo. premiums.

I have had a few large cases this year that has made my average look better. I'm sure that my 2 year average would be closer to $50/mo.

Thanks for the info. Any advice or tips for someone getting back into the business so far as leads for FE? I know all the sources out there say they have the best. Do you buy yours from anyone in particular or do you do your own marketing? What can you expect as a closing ratio, especially for internet leads? I know it depends on your own sales skills, I'm just trying to get an idea of some averages to base my efforts on.

Thanks.....

JDEasy,

Any tips on leads for FE? Do you do your own marketing, or buy leads? What closing ratio can someone expect to have for FE? I know it depends on your own selling skills...just looking for a base line. Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't come back and read this thread until today.

I get my leads thru EFES. Been with them almost two years now.

Would you be able to share with me(us) how you've written so many apps?

As a newbie I would like to do exactly what you are doing.

Are you hitting the phones? Are you walking door-to-door introducing yourself? Anything out of the ordinary?

Thanks very much!!

I get 15 leads per week thru EFES. Sometimes a few more, but, my standing order is 15. They come by email every Sat.morning and they are always in the same county. I cover a large area of western Ky. and southern In.

I am in the field usually two days per week. Tues. and Thurs. I set my appointments for Tues. on Mon. and I set my appointments for Thurs. on Wed.

My goal is to have 6 appointments on each day. I set them 1 and 1/2 hour apart starting at 9:30 am. Most of my appointments are an hour drive away. I do not work my home county by choice.

I always call. If a lead comes in without a phone number, I do everything possible to find a phone number. Failing that, I will doorknock that lead when I'm in the area between appointments or if I havea no show. I hate doorknocking with a passion, but, I will not throw away a lead without giving it a shot.

I just believe in being consistant. I use the same presentation in every appointment. I say the same thing to schedule every appointment and I get the same number of leads every week. I don't always get 12 set appointments in week. This week I had 9 scheduled. I did doorknock 4 others.

I work hard at this as it's my job. The recruiters and marketers that tell you this is easy are full of ****.

Thank you very much for such a timely, indepth explanation.

You have shared with me your outline for success and for that I am very grateful.

You've found a system that works for you and that's the key. I'm looking to do the same.

I'd like to send you a PM,so please look for it. Thanks again.
