Why Are So Many Agents Lazy?

See my post about her #2. She's way off base or maybe I'm a failure at this and didn't realize it. That's right, maybe I should be high and mighty and comment and give advice in $ hit I don't know and/or comprehend.

This one? ""Disagree. My average work week since starting in FE is 20 or less hours a week. I don't have a client base to pull from, so I do all of mine off of leads and appointments.""

Yeah I agree for you, however, I do not see you as the norm for newbies. Someone said something like "work smarter and harder as opposed to work smarter not harder" and I instantly though of you. You seem like a guy that works both efficiently and like a beast for 20 hours. I would not say you or JG sound anything like the normal newbie. But then again I am not an FE agent. :1confused:

I never said "everyone who does any of these will fail." I said the "main reasons people fail."

No FE is not life insurance. Well, OK, it is except when talking about it. Then it is the "FE market" but only if not done by phone or Internet. Oh and only if done in hollers and ghettos. Oh, oh and they have to be to poor to afford it. And financially stupid. Then you have to be blessed.

Just add "I am not an FE agent" then everyone knows to discount your information. Remember they are not Life Insurance agents the are FE agents they are a sub set. No correlation to anything Life Insurance.

LMAO Too bad it went way over his head. ;)

Nancy, I see your initiation is proceeding along as per normal.

Let's think about this for a minute.

Now I've written a hand full annuities in my time..like 4. So I should have free reign to give the annuity guys advice on how to write them...uh..no.

What about the couple of times I've disagreed over in the 'life' forum...there are some fyn threads with me going at it with Norwayguy, Larry Tew and a couple others. We have a difference of opinion on things...which is fine, but initially I was bombarded, for my belief that LI isn't a good investment...whatever.

Do I agree that if you're going to start spitting advice on a subject, you should know what you're talking about...yes!

So yes, is it normal that someone who doesn't work the FE market and manages 4 branches starts giving FE advice, that the board reacts harshly...yeah, ok that's normal. For the most part their are contributors to this board and then there are the wanna be experts. They are the ones most of us can see right through after 10 or so post because it is glaringly obvious they don't work the business we do.

It did not go over his head, trust me.

In FE Market and Underwriting JD, Newbie and a couple others are above many agents I have known in close to 30 years of business. JD has written a crap load of stuff that has increased my SIWL (not FE) production and has personally helped me on a couple cases. These guys are not the highest "FE" agents I know but are still beast.

I just do not agree with this whole show me your 1099s bullsh1t. I have learned from newbies as well.

I do not play well with others, hence I am an Independent.

maybe you're right, it's just hard for me to see past my eyelids sometimes...that and I'm out moving tables fornmy wifes school and my box truck just overheated, leaving me stranded an hour from home. I'm in a bad mood..sorry..lol

I guess I just don't get why or how someone can't make a ton of money in this business. It truly blows my mind.

So you are saying on anything but FE, No, FE F2F only, your opinion is Sh1t? See we disagree again. Oh, and I have to find the thread(shoot me a link) with you and Larry. He and maybe three or four other guys there are very knowledgeable.

Ain't no thang!

Because many are stuck in one mode.

The only person that said anything about showing a 1099 was you. I guess I don't play well with others either and I am independent too.

I learn from people here all the time. I found this forum in the first place because I was questioning what a FOS marketer was telling me about a medicare rule.

I learn from new posters just like old posters but with the long time posters I know who to listen to. For the new ones I don't. It was obvious from her first few posts that she was clueless. But seeing as I could be wrong I asked if she was a producer. I knew the answer before her response but still held out the possibility that I could have read the tea leaves wrong.

It seems to bother you that you are not an FE agent. So why do you want to hang here? I don't go to the annuity sub forums or the LTC subforum or the P&C forums and hang out and remind them in every post that I am not one of them.

That's what I don't get about you.

I sell FE. I represent 14 different FE carriers. It's just not all I do. I call it Life Insurance because I also do terms, ULs and Whole. So you're saying that unless I'm 100% FE that I shouldn't comment on Lazy Agents in the FE forum? That's what I don't get.

I am not the one it bothers, it seems to bother others. I see SIWL as life insurance, same as Term UL or WL. I do make SIWL out calls and get in bound SIWL calls regularly. I sell several SIWL cases a week. But I do not do direct mail to the FE market. Nor do I want to work the "cat pee couch" part of SIWL.

I hang out here for a couple reasons. One, I have earned money from the knowledge I have gotten here. Two, Some of these guys are Fn entertaining. Some are funny, some are always starting sh1t. I even help every once in a great while, at least that is want the pms and emails say.

If the guys in the Life, annuity or MedSup forums give you crap for your opinion they are dicks. You may not think your knowledge is transferable but I do.

EDIT: I mistakenly deleted this earlier when I was deleting a post to the people Emailing me.
