What are the best books you read as you began as an insurance agent?

Bible. Specifically books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, they are all about wisdom.

The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino. Nice short read with all of the basic building blocks of building a career in sales.

In Proverbs, whether you are a believer or not, if you read one chapter per day and make a list of the characteristics of the wise man and a list of the characteristics of the fool you will be shocked at how good you get at the decision making process.

I agree this is a great book. I was taught this sytem when getting into the business and it has helped me. It has also proven to be tru for me. 10-3-1. Works every time.

The prospecting method taught in that book will have applicability. As a P&C agent you will definitely benefit by reading the Wedge.
