How are we expected to sell?

So given all the rules and regulations to selling MA, and me being new to Medicare, and fairly new to Insurance overall ( 6 months selling FE's, a few Terms and a few IUL's) I am completely unsure how I find prospects for MA .... or rather how they find me. I just have to wait for my FE clients to ask me for Medicare help ?
I wouldn't mind selling MA's. I've got the rules straight. I just don't get how agents start selling MA since essentially we can't prospect for the most part according to CMS.

I've only just gotten through AARP UHC Medicare training so I can sell their MA and PDP only which is fine since they are a big provider in NorCal. Although Kaiser is probably the main MA provider in the area I live in. The percentage of MA out of town in the rural areas is really low so I started by selling Med Supp and realized I needed UHC.

I've never heard you can't prospect for mapd. You can do mailers, seminars, etc.

Do mail drops for Med Supps, but set your low income level down to $0 just like you do for FE leads. You'll find them.

It was my training "back in the day" that you were not even allowed to discuss ancillary products in the same visit.

Correct .

Last AEP they changed something in the rules about the waiting period for scopes but someone else will have to chime in on the change

They haven't changed that at all. You can't see someone on an MA or PDP appointment and discuss FE. I know there is a "millionaire" who says he has done that and apparently trains others to do that as well.

I guess as long as nobody gets caught it's ok. Right Mrs. Clinton?

They eliminated the two day SOA requirement. You can visit for a med supp and, if the client requests info on MA, you can then have the scope signed and conduct MA presentation at that time. There is no requirement to reschedule for another appointment.
