Med Supp (Lumico) question

Cancer is primary cause... but other reasons, even age, can be the cause..

Reread my comment. It's not unreasonable to think cancer, as it's the primary cause. G wasn't saying Lymphedema was cancer, he was thinking it was probably cancer due to cancer.

However, more probing questions would need to be asked to verify. Any underwriter or claims evaluator will jump to Lymphedema likely being connected to cancer first, then work their way down.

When someone is describing a white horse, you don't start looking initially for a Zebra. You check out white horses first.

Not if they mention the white horse has black stipes..:) I am not disagreeing with you. If Lymphedema is mention, then cancer is certainly the first consideration, but you don't jump to conclusion that it is cancer to the exclusion of any other possibility as Monkey Boy did.. (Man hasn't been here for ages and he is still stirring the pot!)

I think you're reading too much into it. He's questioning that she started with almost nothing going on to mention she had lymphedema, which is more than likely cancer.

Personal opinion, and it's just me... I'm going to start with cancer questions because it's possibly a knock out.

the word "paper" in this post makes no sense to me.

Elips is the issuing carrier . . . Lumico may be acting as a ceding carrier but they are not issuing coverage under their name.

"Paper" and "pen" are terms common to reinsurance arrangements.

The "pen" refers to the carrier/company that actually underwrites and prices the coverage.

Financials (such as they are) for Elips.
