Need Final Expense Focused organization

It was 3000 mailers. It was around $1,050 I believe. My wife handles the expenses.

One of the perks of being married to a CPA.

At 27c postage per postcard (plus the cost for the card & the ink to print message), 35c for a mailed lead seems to be a bargain if you consider the labor involved in doing your own mailers. I guess one could get the USPS cost down by buying into their business rate....

My only problem is the wording on the available mailers usually stinks.

Then do what I do. I send in my own text and the mail house formats it.

After using a different place, I just gave an order to Lead Concepts. Chris gave me great turnaround and designed a terrific card based upon my text. They are not bargain basement at about $400/1,000, but I'm willing to pay a few bucks more for quality and immediate email of the return cards.

Yeah, been thinkin' the same thing. (You might notice this in my post if you read between the lines).

Most mail houses will just let you pick and choose which of their text you want to change or take off. I have eliminated the "free service to you" and "free memorial guide book" before. when your paying per/k, they really don't care how you chop it up. You will definetly see a difference in your return if you start taking off some the hooks. But it all boils down to how tight a lead that you want, and what your willing to pay for it. .

I have came to the conclusion that if you are going to set appointments, your better off casting a wide net and keeping your cost per lead down. You can eliminate those who are truly not going to buy over the phone. If you are door knocking you might be better off tightening things up a bit as to save yourself some of the gas and time of running down the folks who really have no interest and/or money.

After looking at the different final expense products, and actually working lead systems, Forethought is a good choice. Yes mail leads 255 govenment pays for burial still works, but expensive, and you need physical addresses so you can go see them personally and keep your foot in the door,so you can get in. Yes lower income households buy final expense insurance, average premium $36. to $42 monthly bankdraft(checking account) I have issued as much as $175,000 annually, and have issued as little as $100,000. You need to retain 80% or better. Just sent contract to Complete Solutions Inc(Forethought). On their dialer you need 30 leads which have addresses, should write 5-7 apps per week they charge $360 or 12. a leads which is pretty good an lot of activity. I think their test run is over and is working. Let me know if you are writing for them. steve1640

Just an FYI, I ordered a 2K lead mailing using my text with design by Chris Weir at Lead Concepts. So far, I have received 78 responses. 3.9% in about 8 days of returns. I would expect a 4.5-5.0% when the smoke clears.

This is a Medicare Advantage card - not for Final Expense. But business is business!

If you'd like a copy of the card, DO NOT SEND A PM. Send an email to insureATgreenskyDOTcom.

Keep us up to date on the dialer leads with CSI... Id like to see what the actual cost per close is.

Transamerica charges $275.00 per thousand for their FE Mailer. It too is the $255 mailer. Is this a good deal?

If you can get a mailing done for $275/k, go for it. Please keep us informed on what your results are. I would have to imagine, with all other things being equal, that for $275/k TransAmerica is subsidizing the cost of that lead, which more less makes you captive with them if you want to keep getting that price. I have no idea what their product looks like though.

Has anyone tried your advantage leads dot com? They keep pimping $7 leads which makes me very skeptical. I believe they are internet leads. I have a little bit of FE experience, and very, very few of my clients even know how to use a computer, let alone have access to the internet. But, who knows, maybe that is opening up a whole group of folks that I'm not seeing right now. I did talk to an agent this week who said he had bought 10 leads from them. He wrote approximately $0 in premium, but he thought that overall they were "really good leads"?!? WTF!!!! Now, I don't care who you are, that's funny!
