To Write -or- Not To Write . . .

If you're contracted with Aetna for their Med Supps, you just need to sign the commission schedule to be able to sell their FE. Loyal American is Cigna's FE. Contract with Cigna and you can sell all of their products. Both companies have Ancillary products.

Thanks tho Amtrak . . .

Thanks tho but I got more contracts than even Matty can keep up with . . .

Are either competitive in the FE world?
They are for fat people because neither one uses height/weight. Aetna also has a good true Graded. They were very competitive until they raised their rates a couple of years ago. Now they're a niche company. Plus, you already have Aetna.

How do they compare to Settlers Silver?

If it was me meeting with this client, I would go with an easy issue policy for a small amount to cover burial and explain to the family that if she dies within the 2 year contestibility period, there is a possibility that the policy won't pay. If she died of a drug over dose or committed suicide, per say. If that occurs, they will get their premiums refunded. This is how it is no matter what in the first two years.
There are certain "soft skills" I think a lot of agents lack. This isn't about "making a sale" this is about providing peace of mind with full disclosure. If you kill yourself or overdose and die in the first two years, your family won't have enough to bury you. Maybe scare her straight for at least 2 years. Many people with mental health issues often live very long lives.
And by the way, this is ANOTHER reason why I am big on selling Whole Life policies for kids. It's a gift for the unknown future. I have two policies on my only child and they will be hers when she's old enough to pay her own bills. If she drops them, I may kill her.
