UHC PDP going non-commissionable 6/1/25

According to the official commission amendment that I just downloaded from Sircon, the renewals will also be $0 commission.
For applications on or after 6/1/25 you will not get renewals, but for applications before that, you will 100% retain PDP renewals. Cross checked with my NMA and also directly with UHC

For UHC MEDIGAP Commissions, going back to how it was about 8 years ago:

For AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company for applications with applicant signature dates on or after June 4, 2025 with policy effective dates on or after July 1, 2025, the commission rates have been amended for Florida, Maryland, Maine, New Mexico and Wisconsin. For clarification, renewal commissions are increased for years 7-10 and discontinued for years 11+.

What? Do they want out of the PDP business? There will be some that won't suggest them even if their rate/total cost is the best choice for the client if they are going to chwhiarge us to provide them with clients.
I don't do business with United Healthcare unless a client demands it. I have never liked their predatory business practices which date back to the 1990s, when they gobbled up PacifiCare Health.

I am not in this business for the money. But UHC is, and it's becoming obvious that they are losing money when they begin cutting commissions. Watch for the regulators to begin looking more closely at their annual financial reports and increasing market conduct examinations. A number of years ago, they were facing a potential billion-dollar fine for thousands of claims payment issues uncovered by the CA Dept of Insurance, which eventually let them off the hook for a few millions of dollars.

I also give my commissions back to the insurance company and run a charity while advising clients purely out of the goodness of my heart.

Money and United HealthCare are evil.

We all know what happens when products go non commissions . They'll either jack the premiums huge or non renew the plans . 95% chance you'll have to move that members plan . No different than Anthem coming out last month and said you can't submit any apps by eapps . It basically saying don't write it in a nice way . Most of those plans will be non renewed or they'll be terrible plans next yr
