Appointment Setting Script

I start out with a Good Morning or Good evening Mr. or Mrs. Jones? Hi this is (agents name) How are you doing today? The reason for my call...is...you recently requested some information by mail...concerning the social security death benefit...do you remember filling out the reply card with your name age phone number and mailing it in? Wonderful...my job is to get this information to you and the adress we have is....is this still correct? Great...there is some hand written information I would like to verify...first name, age, spouses name and age...is this correct? Wonderful...Mr. or Mrs Jones are you and your spouse still working retired or receiving disability? Oh, your both still working, what time do you normally go in and get home? Ok...well like I said...my job is to get this information to you and I will be delivering it tomorrow at either 4:45 or 5:15 which is best for you? This is the meat of one of my scripts. I was hoping to hear from other top producers. My goal is to revise some scripts. What ever I come up with will definitely be shared on the forum.

You sound like a telemarketer! Glad Travis taught me how to set appts, no offense brother! ;)

Cool, maybe we can start by saying

The reason for my call is...you recently requested some information by mail...concerning the prices and coverage amounts of a state regulated life insurance program...and my job is to get this information to you...

Maybe replace with "we received your request by mail" then go into the state regulated burial plans.

My 2 cents, I don't like the social security death benefit, you will get lots of people thinking your from social security, I like to say state regulated life insurance program. Also I think its a bit too long.

Jack you can not control what they "think" the purpose of the call is to find out what time they will be home tomorrow, and the time they can expect you (PERIOD). Anything else is beyond the scope of the call.

I have sold policies (plural) to people who thought I was from meals on wheels. Believe me that was not apart of the script.

Travis

Drop: "The reason for my call is".. and simply say. "you recently requested some information.............................".. Sounds less like a telemarketer and gets straight to the point.
