SilverScript 2019

I'd imagine most agent use medicare dot gov - and that's the only place I run comparisons.

Except for the loser agents who only recommend SilverScript blindly to all clients, regardless of Rx needs, because they are too lazy to actually look up Rx's.

Their reasoning: Scale!

They put the ease of applying and the ability to scale way above the needs of their clients.

It's indefensible.

God help your agent. For $36 dollars, I would make a bet that your agent would prefer u do the pdp on your own. Just a wag.

My agent would be happy to have my drug plan business when I have a reason to change.

I wish the rest of you would make up your minds about drug plans. If I say something good about drug plans, all I hear is how bad the commission reward is for them. If I say something bad about them, all I hear is about how the commission renewals on my drug plans are so vast they are going to finance my retirement to Florida. Pretty funny actually.

How much is it going up? Mine's going up $3.40 (14.5%) a month. That is a good jump % wise.

I don't know if I can handle an extra $3.40 a month....that's a pound of bacon.

Years ago I had a friend that took a run at starting a hog business by getting "free" runts from a nearby successful hog farmer and hand raising them.

Not sure which would be worse, raising bacon or doing drug plan lookups for 500 clients and explaining all the increases this year.

I have a few, not many, but a few clients that I wish would go away. most of the time I fire them while they are just a prospect, but have fired a few clients.

the challenging clients I keep are referrals and / or they are a good source of referrals.

sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

I would have no qualms firing a client who complained about a $3 premium increase. especially since the PDP premium should never be a concern.

I plan on explaining / justifying / expounding upon / talking about / warning about exactly 0 PDP increases.

If someone calls in looking for PDP option for 2019, I tell them current plan almost doesn't matter - let's take a "fresh look" at "all options."

Whatever the computer spits out, I recommend. Don't want to change? Fine. Doesn't matter to me.

Again, premium doesn't matter as it is factored into yearly estimated cost.

For the most part, it seems like, in general, if the estimated yearly of current plan isn't $100 more than estimated yearly of "new" lowest, most people stay and don't deal with the hassle of switching.
